Chief Executive Officer
Luke is the principal founder and Managing Partner of Green Lantern Solar. He is an entrepreneurial development professional with 20 years of experience in retail development, mixed-use commercial real-estate, clean-tech/renewables and brownfields redevelopment. Luke's areas of expertise and focus are emerging energy technologies, sustainable development practices, project finance strategy, and public policy.
Prior to Green Lantern Capital, Luke was a founder and President of real-estate development and asset-management firms Pinnacle Development Group and Greenergy Development.
Luke has a BA in History with a concentration in Environmental Studies and Economics from Williams College.
Bill Miller, Ph.D
Chief Financial Officer
Bill is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer for Green Lantern Solar. He has over 30 years of experience in finance, including 20 years as CFO and VP of Finance in the financial services, construction, development, and manufacturing sectors. Bill has conducted complex financial modeling for a wide variety of real-estate and development projects, and has domain expertise in financing, funding, grant, and tax credit strategies. In addition to his work with Green Lantern Solar, he regularly consults with community groups and local government agencies on development and budget issues.
Bill has a BA from UCLA, and a PhD from the University of Michigan.
Scott serves as President of Green Lantern Solar. He brings years of experience in Brownfield redevelopment, environmental remediation, and real estate development, management and investing from his time as the General Manager of ENPRO and CEO of KW Vermont. Scott earned a business certificate from HBX, Harvard Business School, focusing on business analytics, mirco economics and financial accounting. He currently serves as a board member for Vermont Environmental Consortium, is a Co-Founder of Foundations Investment Group, and is a leadership speaker and instructor for several organizations.
Scott has a BA in Neuroscience from Middlebury College and recently earned his Master’s Degree in Management at Harvard, with an additional graduate certificate in real estate investing.
VP of Operations
As VP of Operations for the Green Lantern Solar, Peter manages the engineering, permitting and construction cycle for all of our projects, from bidding through completion, while maintaining industry-leading Quality Assurance and safety standards.
Peter has 20 years of experience in renewable energy, power generation and process manufacturing, with long tenures at Boeing and Northern Power. Most recently Peter was the Construction Coordinator for the FEMA Tropical Storm Irene Disaster Case Management Program.
Peter has a BS from Northern Arizona University in Industrial Supervision and Mechanical Engineering
Assistant Director Of Development
As the Assistant Director of Development At Green Lantern Solar, Kim will be working with the Maine Director of Development, Geoff Sparrow and others to serve Maine’s growing interest in renewable energy.
Prior to joining the team, Kim served as the Financial Analyst at a restoration and construction company located in southern Maine, where she was a member of the Senior Management team. Kim has over 10 years of experience in the construction industry with a consulting and collaborative focus on team and project leadership.
Kim studied Environmental Studies with a concentration in Ecological Design/Art history at the University of Vermont.
Director of Asset Managment
As a Director of Asset Management, Anna works closely with Lester Humphreys to ensure optimal production of the Green Lantern Solar portfolio. Anna has been working in Vermont's green energy sector since 2011 in various capacities from installation to development and management.
David Carpenter. Esq.
General Counsel / Director of Development
Prior to joining Green Lantern Dave served as Associate General Counsel at Casella Waste Systems, Inc. (2007-2012) where he was lead inside counsel on environmental and renewable energy matters. Dave also worked in private practice at firms in New York, Massachusetts and Vermont, where he represented Green Lantern Solar for nearly five years and worked on dozens of zoning, land use, brownfield and site remediation projects.
Dave earned his J.D and M.S.E.L from Vermont Law School in 1997 and is a 1990 graduate of Penn State University. Dave lives in Orwell, VT where he is a Firefighter, Training Officer, and the Chairman of the Orwell Volunteer Fire Department; and has been a soccer coach for the Orwell-Benson Coyotes; and a Member of the Slate Valley Unified School District Board.
Dave is a past co-chair of Renewable Energy Vermont’s Legislative & Policy Committee and a Member of the Vermont Bar Association's Board of Managers, and a guest lecturer for the University of Vermont’s Sustainable Innovation MBA program.
Director of Operations & Maintenance
Derek joins Green Lantern Solar as an experienced team player with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, value-driven results by developing strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and construction crews.
Prior to joining the team, Derek served as a Director of Solar Operations and Maintenance & a Project Supervisor for another large Vermont solar company where he managed a 30-megawatt portfolio as well as supervised the construction of 35-megawatts of solar projects across the Northeast. Derek brings over ten years of experience in the manufacturing industry as well.
Derek holds a Vermont Journeyman Electricians License and a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Construction Supervisors License. He is also a veteran of the United States Army’s 82 nd Airborne Division.
Elliott is an avid outdoor enthusiast, sustainable living advocate, and experienced solar technician. Prior to joining Green lantern Elliott spent years working resort operations and solar installations for other Vermont companies.
Elliott works closely with Derek Cypher working to provide dedicated professional services to GLS customers and ensure arrays are performing optimally.
Director of Asset Management
As a Director of Asset Management, Lester works with Anna Bowler to ensure optimal production, analysis, and reporting of the Green Lantern Solar portfolio. Lester has been working in Vermont's green energy sector as a manager and data/financial consultant since 2015.
Lester has a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Director of Strategic Partnerships
Weston, an 8-year Army veteran and UH-60M Blackhawk helicopter pilot who served in numerous leadership roles in the U.S. and abroad, has an extensive background in business development and strategic relationships. He brings a passion and drive for sustainable industries having previous experience as the Business Development Director for a Vermont-based sustainable agriculture company.
Weston earned his BS in finance and accounting Management at Norwich University.
Ralph Meima, Ph.D
Director of Development
Ralph is Director of Project Development for Green Lantern in Southern Vermont. He leads solar project development, sales, and stakeholder relations in the counties of Windham, Windsor, and Bennington. His career spans international marketing, consulting, and systems analysis roles in the IT industry. He also devoted part of his career to research and teaching in management education with a sustainability focus, and founded/directed the Marlboro MBA in Managing for Sustainability. For the past decade, he has been a renewable energy advocate, serving on the Brattleboro Energy Committee and participating in the Vermont Energy Action Network.
Ralph has an engineering degree from RPI, an MBA from the Wharton School, and a PhD in management from Lund University, Sweden.
Director of Operations
Alan serves as Director of Operations for Green Lantern Solar. This position requires involvement from the early design stages to the commissioning of each project. Working closely with engineers, product manufacturers, and contractors Alan coordinates schedule and workflow at each site to assure on time completion and high quality.
Alan has been involved in wind and solar renewables for 15 years participating in projects across Vermont and lives with his wife and son in the Mad River valley.
Jody serves as the Controller for Green Lantern Solar. Prior to joining the Green Lantern Team, she worked 13 years as the Comptroller/ Accounting Manager with iTech US, Inc.
She has 18+ years of finance/accounting experience (7 of which were in the Atlanta, GA area where she volunteered for the 1996 Olympic Field Hockey venue).
Jody earned a BS in Business with a concentration in HR Management, from the University of Vermont. Jody lives in Bristol with her husband and 2 sons.
As the Director of marketing for Green Lantern Solar, Eden oversees the development and implementation of the company's brand and marketing strategies.
Prior to joining the Green Lantern team, Eden spent years working in the e-commerce industry as a marketing and design content specialist.
Eden earned her BS from the University of New Hampshire.
Geoff Sparrow, P.E
Director of Development
Geoff has been developing and executing commercial and utility scale solar projects in New England since 2005 and will leverage this deep experience to expand Green Lantern’s successful development, acquisition and construction strategy to the renewable energy markets across Maine, New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
Prior to joining Green Lantern Solar, Geoff served as the Director of Engineering at Revision Energy, located in Portland Maine, where he served as a member of the senior leadership team.
Sparrow is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, holding a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts
Sutton joins Green Lantern with an extensive background in mechanical and electrical engineering and construction management within the renewable energy sector. Sutton brings nearly three decades of experience coordinating, designing, installing, commissioning and servicing renewable energy projects. A New England native, green energy advocate, and vintage motorcycle enthusiast, Sutton will start his career with Green Lantern focusing his expertise in the northern New England territory helping Maine reach its renewable energy goals.
Sutton studied Mechanical Engineerng at the University of Lowell.
