The Cabot/Agri-Mark portfolio is a great example of Green Lantern Solar's "turn-key solutions" approach. We developed, permitted, financed, constructed and continually operate, three commercial-scale solar fields that provide Cabot/Agri-Mark with over 2.6MW of power annually.
One of the projects, located in Benson, VT, won a highly competitive REAP (Rural Energy for America Program) grant.
"Green Lantern has been a key partner in Cabot Creamery’s efforts to advance renewable energy. Their full-project-services approach (development, permitting, financing, construction, operations and management) has streamlined our efforts and has been 100% professional at all levels. They have been essential in our ability to create multiple, 500-kilowatt, net-metered solar projects across the state. These projects deliver multiple, triple bottom line benefits for our community, our co-operative and Vermont farmers. First, these projects represent a positive, closed-loop approach to new renewable energy infrastructure. Plus, over the projects’ 20-year operational lifetimes, the co-op will receive substantial energy savings while dairy farmers receive meaningful annual land lease income. One of our noteworthy Green Lantern Solar projects in Benson, Vt., won a competitive USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant for its innovative “Dual-Use” racking system. This system features a higher profile array that allows the cows to pasture and graze below and around the array. Our experience with Green Lantern has been extremely positive and we encourage you to consider how they can help you reach your renewable energy goals."
